How to say "Hello!" in Chinese

Ni3 = You
hao3 = good

Hello in Chinese is really just saying "You good" to the other person! It is a relaxed and friendly expression just like the English "Hello" except that it shouldn't be used in more business situations where you want to show respect to the other person. In that situation you use the more formal "Nin2 hao3".
